ENGLISH DAY 2010

On 11th February 2010 our school organized a Day devoted to English Culture, Traditions and Customs.

All classes from our secondary school took part in it. The tasks in this contest were connected with the British, American and Australian customs, traditions, history and the latest information on those countries.

This year there were four tasks to do:

   - a poster on English speaking country earlier chosen by each class
   - a multimedia presentation on one English speaking country
   - a sketch or a song connected with the country
   - a quiz on English speaking countries

And the winners this year were:

   - the 1st place - class III A
   - the 2nd place - class II A
   - the 3rd place - class III C

The participants won some very interesting prizes which were sponsored by Oxford University Press and MacMillan. Among the prizes were Oxford Wordpower Dictionaries and many interesting books (readers).
